Welcome to Rancho Bernardo.

Conveniently located just off Interstate 15, Rancho Bernardo is a 30-minute drive to downtown San Diego. The community is a neighborhood of San Diego and sits in the middle of Poway and Escondido. 

Although the area was settled in the 1800s, the town was officially named Rancho Bernardo in 1963. The population has grown to more than 45,000 residents.

Situated amid the hills and valleys, Rancho Bernardo is home to a large residential community as well as big-name businesses, including Sony, Hewlett-Packard and Nokia. Living in Rancho Bernardo offers residents plenty of recreational activities, such as golfing one of the areas beautiful courses or visiting Bernardo Winery, the oldest winery in Southern California.

Students who reside in Rancho Bernardo attend local schools operated by the Poway Unified School District. There are several elementary schools within Rancho Bernardo as well as a middle and high school.
