Welcome to Oceanside

Oceanside rests in the northwest corner of San Diego County and borders Camp Pendleton to the north, Vista to the east and Carlsbad to the south. As the name suggests, Oceanside sits on the edge of the Pacific Ocean and enjoys 3.5 miles of sandy beaches. The commute between Oceanside and San Diego takes approximately 40 minutes along Interstate 5. Highways 76 and 78 also cross the city, providing easy transport to the northeast and southeast.

With just over 183,000 residents, Oceanside is the third-largest city in San Diego County. Known for being one of the more affordable coastal locations, Oceanside's 42.2 square miles offers a wide variety of homes, townhomes and condos for sale.

Oceanside became a city in 1888 and spent much of its early years as a beach town. When Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton opened to its north during World War II, a flood of military personnel made the growing town their new home.

Due to its coastal location, Oceanside enjoys a moderate temperature throughout the year with average highs ranging from mid-60s to low-70s. The city receives only 11 inches of rain annually, mainly during the winter months.

Home to the 1,954-feet long Oceanside Pier, the longest wooden pier on the United States western coastline, living in Oceanside offers plenty of opportunities for fun in the sun. Enjoy a day on the water or visit one of the city's many parks. Be sure to visit downtown Oceanside for a bit of '50s and '60s nostalgia. Much of the area still maintains the good time feel of yesterday. Select from many wonderful restaurants and shops and enjoy a stroll along Highway 101.

The Oceanside Unified School District provides 16 elementary schools, four middle schools and three high schools.

Life in Oceanside is North County coastal living at its best. Browse our Oceanside real estate offerings and feel confident that you're choosing a wonderful place to buy a new home!
